At Vision RV in Acheson—just minutes west of Edmonton—you’ll find a welcoming, full-service dealership with a wide selection of Wildwood models and a team that knows how to match the right trailer to your lifestyle. From lightweight couples’ coaches to family-friendly bunkhouses and upscale residential layouts, Vision RV makes it easy to compare floorplans, explore features, and start camping with confidence.
Backed by one of North America’s largest RV manufacturers, Forest River builds the Wildwood series to deliver dependable towability, modern interiors, and practical storage at a competitive price point. Within the Wildwood family you’ll find versatile options for first-time buyers and seasoned campers alike—each designed to maximize living space without adding unnecessary weight.
Wildwood’s enduring popularity comes from its focus on everyday usability: seating that converts for guests, galleys with ample prep space, and bathrooms that actually feel comfortable on longer trips. Forest River’s emphasis on quality components and continuous improvement helps Wildwood earn loyal owners year after year.
One of the biggest advantages of choosing a Forest River Wildwood is the breadth of the lineup. Prefer something nimble and easy to tow? Wildwood FSX models prioritize a compact footprint and lighter weights while still packing in the essentials, making them a smart fit for smaller SUVs and light-duty pickups.
Want a bit more room without moving up to a heavy trailer? Wildwood and Wildwood X-Lite floorplans add slide-outs, larger kitchens, and expanded storage so couples and small families can stretch out on rainy days.
If you’re after a more upscale feel, the Wildwood Heritage Glen series layers on refined finishes and residential touches for extended comfort.
Wildwood shines in how it uses space. Couples can look for rear-bath layouts with generous showers, walk-around queen beds, and panoramic windows that brighten the main living area. Families gravitate to bunkhouse models that sleep four to eight—perfect for kids, grandkids, or friends.
Across the range, you’ll find smart features like convertible dinettes, reclining theatre seating on select models, and entertainment centres positioned for easy viewing. Many floorplans also incorporate outdoor living upgrades—such as available camp kitchens or quick-connects for grills—so your patio area works as hard as the interior.
Towing confidence matters, especially on Alberta’s mixed roads and changing seasons. Lightweight entries like Wildwood FSX are engineered to be easier to pull and park, which is a major plus if you’re new to towing or prefer smaller campsites.
Even in larger models, a balanced chassis and aerodynamics help with highway stability when properly equipped and loaded within limits. For shoppers moving up from a tent trailer or older RV, this combination of manageable weights and modern braking/hitch technology makes Wildwood a practical way to expand your travel radius without over-trucking your setup.
Inside a Forest River Wildwood, expect bright, contemporary interiors with family-durable materials and storage solutions that make weekend packing less of a puzzle.
Galleys often include residential microwaves, ample pantry space, and refrigerators sized for real groceries. Well-placed USB ports, prep for popular accessories, and thoughtful lighting help the trailer live like home on wheels.
Depending on the floorplan, you’ll also see features such as spacious slide rooms to open up the lounge, private bedrooms with wardrobes, and bathroom layouts that make morning routines easier for groups. Heritage Glen adds upscale trim details and design touches for campers who want a more premium aesthetic without leaving the Wildwood family.
